Zo verkruimelt het koekje,
Basisschool De Buutplaats, Den Haag, 2005 As part
of Stroom's
'Kunst op Haagse Scholen' - project Babette was asked to make an
art work for primary school De Buutplaats in The Hague. For
over a year Babette collected proverbs from different languages and
cultures on the website www.nieuwenederlandsespreekwoorden.nl
with the idea that if the children were confronted with these proverbs
during their school time they could become 'New Dutch Proverbs'. Babette's
drawings illustrate the new Dutch proverbs. Rieme Gleijm designed a book with all the illustrated proverbs, which was given to all the children at the school. The project
was funded by The Mondriaan Stichting & gemeente Den Haag. Go
